It was very very hot in the western side of India in
Mar.
Whenever we were very tired and hot after long hours travelling,
we
always discussed why not go northern Japan to have hot spa under
the
snow, how could go Turkey was the original plan and came out India was
the final destination and I joint them by accident. We never
know how
was the conclusion drawn - go India for holiday in Mar.
If you cannot imagine how the cows, the Camels, Donkeys, Horses,
Bicycles, Tuk Tuks, Trucks, Vans, Bus, Peoples, Sheep, Goats, Dogs,
Peacocks, Birds, Monkeys, Ugly Pigs and lot of Flies......... use
the
same road for travelling, you will
understand how this transportation
system works in India! Amazing.
The Forts, the Havelis, the buildings and the Palaces could be
painted with extremely fine paints and art works; the cloth can be made
with very detail, fine and beautiful patterns, but I don't
understanding
why the country can run without order, without structure and system, it
is different from what they like to have beautiful
things with pattern
and well designed.
All living organisms are living together and human seems not doing
much disturbance on the ecosystem, they throw the rubbish
everywhere
and let the cows and the animals around to manage it. Cows eat
everything on the street and shit everywhere. It would be
horrible in
rainy days I am sure. Avis asked the question about the rubbish before,
her guide answered these all are organic rubbish, no harm to the land.
Hindus are really crazy to all Holi Lakes and Rivers, ladies
and
men are well covered their bodies all the time but when they bath in
the holy lake, they undress at lake side, wrap with thin and big cloth
or towel and bath in the lake (the water is very dirty.) In Hong Kong,
our government warns us the stream water have amoeba that will go into
our eyes and do not wash the faces and drink. Their lake water.. may
be too toxic for all living organisms. There are many big
cat fishes in
the lake. But how can the animal and people's bodies to
resist all
these unknown bacteria and germs??? --> Must be the
power of their
religious.
Everyday we dine with so many flies, the flies stick on the
shits, land on the animals and then land on our food.
><
The poor children smiled at you, around you and asked for school
pens.......I met a little boy he was really a good actor as he
could speak with tear in the eyes, our tour guide shout to
him and this
boy ran away.
Our driver always said to me "ah ku li er", he didn't explain what
is it. But now I know the answer.
At nights, the moon was so bright that all the stars were dim,
Avis and I couldn't finalise the starry plan but we did talk a lot when
we two share the bed together just before sleep. That was
good......... suddenly I find I know her for many many many
years!
gossips, people, some stories...........to be continue!
Many questions about what I see in this country, will explore
more.........
If I made spelling mistakes, pls forgive me.
Part Two
Avis
and Della are still working in PMS, I had worked in PMS, so sometimes
we three talked about SAP, about abnormal operation feature in PMS
and
other interesting things in the division, hope Wendy and Ric did not
feel bore. Actually, only the first two days we three could not
stop
mention matters about company, but soon our talking topic were no more
companies.........
Everyday
we had omelets or boil eggs, Masala Chai and toast for breakfast, then
Naan, Roti or Chapati, Curry Mutton, Masala Mixed Vegetable or Masala
Mushroom, Plain Rice, Tandoori Chicken, mushroom, vegetable
and sweet
corn chicken soup for lunch and dinner. Later we had Tangri
Kababs
that is quite delicious. The first three days, we
all were quite okay
for the same menu, however, after four days, five days, we seemed
not
much eager to read the menu and order the food, especially for
me. I
don't know if I took some Lassi or cold drink with the ice water or too
much curry, my abdomen started not going well and had a bit
diarrhea.
As it was not so serious, I just stop having milk product and ate very
little for about two days. I remember I said to them "Can
we borrow
their kitchen for just stir fire some vegetable for lunch or dinner?!",
Of course, they didn't entertain me.
We
had stayed two nights in tent near the desert, the first day, the sand
dune was just in front of us. The toilets were not well
facilitated,
that we all took quick showers (the water run very very slow) and I
didn't brush my teeth that night and the next morning. Now I'm
sure the
washroom facilities is directly proportion to my cleanness. But a
point
I have to mention is that, the most worst Indian toilet I used is still
better than the bad toilet in China.
The
area king in western India is called Maharaja, one of the Maharaja
had
30 wives, 22 2nd wives.. our tour guide was telling the story
abt this
Maharaja but he jumped to the conclusion immediately --> he
then got
52 problems and he were not happy as he took a lot of opium and
died at
45. Ric said he wants to be the Maharaja, of course our tour
guide
laughed and said would died soon! Ours made other
jokes, we sent
questions in postcards to other friends (1) Accounting question, how to
do the posting for total 52 wives for Maharaja?! If under assets, how
to revaluate them at end period;(2) Humen resources question, what
roster advised to Maharaja Ric that can be satisfied all parties, i.e.
he himself and all his wives, with the condition that Maharaja has
other unknown number of illegal wives and the days he went to
war/ClubMed. Up to date, we still have not received any answer!
Della
now is the champion of "No sense of Direction". There was simply a
straight way back to the dinner table from the washroom, but she
turned
left and went outside from the restaurant. Remember, what she needed to
walk was a straight way.
Our
driver Bagga (his name sounded exactly the same as one japanese foul
language, that's we were not good to call his name!) and our tour guide
Ashok both were nice family men. They both gave sweetie smiles
when
they received their family phone calls although they were over 45 and
have married for very long time. Appreciated.
By
chance, we could experience India happy Holi festival, that was the
festival of color. What they do during this festival? Just
play hard
to put color powder to the face and the body of the people you
meet.
And make everybody with the colors. Our tour guide did not bring us
(four ladies) outside and play because he said he could not manage the
situation. As people in the street would drunk and crowed you, pushed
you and touched you. He begged us not going out and stayed in the
hotel.. But we played crazy all together and with Ashok in the hotel
roof! I forgot to ask why they have such a holiday!
For this
itinerary, there were too many forts and havelis for us,
as if there was one and a half day more for us to go
market visit
and shopping, that would be more prefect! Because it
might have
lot of fun to bargain with the shop owners and bought cheap items we
like. But Della said India was not welcome me again as I was the 2nd
person who spent very little money in India, no contribution to India
economy. :-) Since I dont have a big house, I change my buying habit,
otherwise I'll buy a Indian Sofa.......that is very nice!
The
highway to New Delhi airport is very good constructed, no cow on
the
road and with proper road lights. When a country wants
to catch up
with the global standard, they will
adopt the global standards and
later on it will be more or less the same with other Big Cities.
It is
good or no good? I don't know, but at that day, travel
overseas may not
as interest as previous days and now.
The
flight was on 3:00am, the movie on show in the plane was No
country for
the old man that I watched the beginning and wanted to finished it, but
when the light off, I felt asleep immediately. It is a very excited
film that I like it...........but I missed the mid and end
part of the
movie.
Thank
you very much.
