Singapore and Ria Bintan Club Med (21 Apr 2011 to 29 Apr 2011)
Annie, Steve, Steve's friends and I went to Singapore and Ria Bintan Club Med.
Steve's friends were a big family, Father Eric, mother Connie, daughter
Sum Sum, grandmother, mother's cousin Christy. The mother's younger
sister Phoebe works in Singapore Club Med.
As usual, I enjoyed holiday in Club Med village.

Stayed in Lion City Hotel
- Steve and I had some food in Travellers' Lounge, but I did not have massage because the queue was very long
- I met Edward and Joseph's cool friend. Both were flying to Singapore with Jetstar
- We travelled from the airport to Lion City Hotel by taxi
- We bought instant noodle in 7-eleven near the hotel, but we are not allowed to eat inside

Stayed in Ria Bintan Club Med
- Steve and I have free breakfast in the hotel. Annie had breakfast in KFC and hotel
- After check out, we travelled from the Lion City Hotel to the ferry terminal
- Annie, Steve and I waited the family at the ferry terminal
- Phoebe recoqnised me, she met me in Ria Bintan Club Med in 2007
- After check in, we had afternoon tea at the beach restaurant
- Flying trapeze with nice GOs Clayton from South Africa and IZZY from Singapore
- We had dinner and then watched show. As we were tired, we went back room before the show finished

23 Apr 2011 (Ria Bintan)
Stayed in Ria Bintan Club Med
- My mobile phone alarm clock not worked because the alarm would not ring on Sat and Sun by default
- We had a quick breakfast and rushed to snorkelling. The
snorkelling GO stayed with Christy because it was Christy's first time
snorkelling. The snorkelling GO was very nice, he catched fish, catched
big shell for us
- We had water aerobic and watched Lady Ga Ga show in the swimming pool
- After lunch, Sum Sum made her own T-shirt
- I slept for a few hours after lunch and then did flying
trapeze. I met circus GO Mizuki from Japan, but another circus GO Nick
from Australia was off
- Club Med village was very full, over 600 GMs. Therefore very long queue for flying trapeze and most of them are kids
- Annie and Steve stayed in a honey moon room. They got free photo, spa, wine and fruit
- I got Sports award and Annie took photos for me
- We watched show done by children and then had some drink in the bar

24 Apr 2011 (Ria Bintan)
Stayed in Ria Bintan Club Med
- After having breakfast, I went
sailing with Eric and Connie. It was windy, it was not easy for the
water sports GO Nic from South Africa to drive us.
- Then Annie, Steve and I had sailing again and drive by another GO.
- I said "Hello" to water sports GO Alex for my GM friend Reiko san from Japan
- After water polo game, I had lunch with circus GOs Clayton from South Africa and Aki from Japan
- I failed to do "Hocks Off" and could not do the catch, so disappointed
- After Easter dinner, we watched the
show. As it was the last night in Club Med village of this trip, I did
not go back room when my friends slept. I did crazy sign and
party till very late at night

25 Apr 2011 (Ria Bintan to Singapore)
Stayed in IBIS Noven Hotel
- After having breakfast, I played tennis
at 08:30 with my swimming suit because I would go snorkelling at 10:30.
The tennis GO was a Bali fat lady. She could not help praising me again
and again
- We had lunch and then check out
- A GO trainee boy and trainee girl did departure for us. Both trainees from Macau
- We went back Singapore by ferry and travelled from ferry terminal to IBIS Novena Hotel by taxi
- At night, we travelled from
Novena Square (near IBIS Novena Hotel) to Dempsey Hill by taxi for
dinner. The taxi driver drove around and looked for the Long Beach
restaurant because Dempsey Hill was quite big. The driver received S7.0
only though the price is $7.8 in the meter
- We had black pepper crab and chilli crab at Long Beach restaurant
- Going back from Long Beach restaurant to hotel by taxi

- We had breakfast at Burger King
- We travelled from Novena MRT to Harbour Front MRT and then travelled from Vivo City to Water Front station by RWS 8 Bus
- The big "World" of Universal Studio Singapore was closed. It was covered by a big poster
- Very few people in Universal Studio Singapore, no long queues
- We had Japanese lunch in RWS (Resort World Sentosa)
- We also had some drink in Casino of RWS
- We travelled from RWS back to Vivo City by free monorail
- We had dinner at food court of Vivo City
- I had chicken rice at food court
- After dinner, my friends except me
went gambling in Sands Casino. I travelled from Vivo City MRT to Clarke
Quay MRT, walked around
- I had supper in Clarke Quay
- I travelled from Clarke Quay MRT to Novena MRT
- In Clarke Quay MRT, I met a Thailand
student who had come Singapore for IT competition (APEX). He did not
know the way back to his hotel Mandarin Orchard. A local MRT passenger
Christine assist him. Christine argued that standard of living of Hong
Kong was higher than that of Singapore. I did not agree with her

Stayed in IBIS Noven Hotel
- Travelled from Novena MRT to Somerset MRT
- Had Kaya Toast breakfast, there was no air-condition in the restaurant, very hot
- We went shopping in "Build
a Bear", many accessories for each doll, eg heart, id card, cotton
for body, clothes, shoes, clinic, ...
- Many shopping malls in Orchard road, we window shopped at Orchard Central
- We had chicken rice in Mandarin Orchard, but the chicken rice was not good but expensive
- Bought 2-days-pass at Orchard MRT
- We travelled from Orchard
MRT to Little India MRT. There were food center and India Arcade in
Little India. We met movie star in Kerbau Street of Little India
- We travelled from Little
India MRT to Clarke Quay MRT. While Annie and Steve had ice-cream, I
drank zero coke in Clarke Quay. We also watched other guests enjoying
exciting GMax and relaxing boat trip
- We travelled from Clarke
Quay MRT to China Town MRT. There are food center in China Town. We
bought souvenirs there. It was so hot that I kept on sweating in Little
India, Clarke Quay and China Town. I drink cool water in China Town.
Annie lost S1.2 when buying souvenirs in China Town
- We went back IBIS Novena Hotel, had early dinner at Burger King and then went to Ang Mo Kio MRT
- We waited for Sum Sum for
long time. Annie saved S0.2 when made a phone call to Phoebe. We got on
138 bus to Night Safari and we met Sum Sum and Phoebe later. We did not
enter the Night Safari, we travelled back to Orchard by 138 bus
- Annie did not eat cake in Fruit Paradise of Orchard because most cakes had been sold. Steve had chocolate cake
- We travelled to Newton MRT and had
dinner at Newton food center. We had oyster cake, fried mussels,
chicken wings. We could not eat fried noodle at Newton food center
because it was very hot
- We travelled back to Novena MRT. We bought noodle and drink at 7-eleven of Novena
- The room keys were failed and we
could not connect hotel room wi-fi. It was due to the rooms were booked
in two reservations. The 1st two nights in one reservation and the last
two nights in another reservation. The hotel system treated us
check-out and check-in again

- IBIS Novena Hotel water is weak, not strong enough for shower
- Travelled from Novena MRT to Somerset
MRT. Annie and Steve had kaya breakfast again. I had 糯米雞 breakfast.
Singapore 糯米雞 was different from Hong Kong. It looked like a cake.
- Travelled from Somerset MRT to
Raffles Place MRT. We walked to Merlion Park. The Merlion was changed
to a hotel for a few weeks. No long queue for Merlion hotel room. Some
visitors slept on the hotel room bed, wash hands in the hotel room
toilet, ... which were not allowed
- Travelled from Raffles Place MRT to a
station of circle line and then took a bus to Marina Sand. The NS28
Bayfront MRT station was not ready yet, the last station of NS line was
N27 Marina Bay MRT. We did not entered the Sands casino. We only had a
look at the 空中花園
- Travelled from Marina Bay Sand to
Somerset Road by bus 106. The bus staff was not family with the bus
service. The bus staff asked us to go there by MRT and had no idea
about the circle symbol on the bus notice board
- Annie finally had mango cake in Fruit
Paradise of Orchard Central which was next to 313 Shopping Mall. Annie
wanted to try the mixed fruit tart since she had seen the fruit tart
near the Build a Bear. However, the fruit tart was not available
- Travelled from Somerset MRT to City
Hall MRT, walked through Raffle City and Raffle Hotel to enjoy chicken
rice at 逸群 restaurant. Annie did not feel well and go to toilet at 逸群 restaurant
- After chicken rice lunch, Annie,
Steve and Ric explored individually. Annie and Steve walked and walked
and walked to have chocolate factory around City Hall. Actually,
chocolate factory was very near, not far away. Then Annie went shopping
in Vivo City and bought something in a pet shop. Steve went to Science
Museum. They would have crab dinner at 17:00.
- I travelled from City Hall MRT to
Raffles Place MRT. I wanted to walked to 亞華肉骨茶 but failed. I was
sweating under the sun. I took rest in a bank, in a hotel ... The hotel
staff told me that 亞華肉骨茶
was far away. Both Steve and I found that the maps were not drawn in
scale. In stead of going back to Raffles Place MRT, I walked to China
Town MRT
- It was very hot, so I drank Chinese
herbal tea in China Town. I walked around all food stalls and finally
had fish ball noodle and one bottle of water in China Town
- I travelled from China Town MRT to Outram Park MRT, walked around
- I travelled from Outram Park MRT to
Clarke Quay MRT. I had 松發肉骨茶, walked around and had Burger King supper
before going back to IBIS Novena Hotel

- Steve and I had breakfast at KFC and Annie had breakfast at Subway
- Travelled from Novena MRT to Orchard MRT
- Returned 2-day-pass at Orchard MRT
- There was a team taking movie at ION and a bitch told us not to take photo rudely. Annie took photo for the bitch.
- There are many interesting shop in ION and Steve "open big" in ION toilet
- Travelled from Orchard MRT to Novena MRT
- Annie "open big" again before check out
- Travelled from IBIS Novena Hotel to airport by taxi
- We applied free wi-fi at airport, we all thought that the digit "9" is a small letter "g"
- Lunch at airport
- I had good food, bath in Skyview Lounge.
- All my coke, juice, sandwiches, water were collected by airport staff
